That, on the return of Mr Justice Wise,

the acting appointment of Mr Sercombe Smith came to an end as Puisne Judge. That it was natural and right to say a few words of farewell to the retiring Judge, who now becomes Colonial Treasurer. hat it is the general feeling in the Co- lony Mr Smith is cut out for a Judge, and a good Judge too,' and it was very pleasing to note how the furious, fire- eating Queen's Counsel ao felicitously expressed the feelings of all concerned.
